Deleting removes the plan from your device. Many eSIMs cannot be re-installed once deleted. If you have not activated it yet, contact support to see if a reissue is possible.

No. Your primary SIM stays available for calls/SMS/iMessage. Set your travel eSIM as the Cellular/Data line when abroad and keep Data Roaming OFF on your primary SIM to avoid charges.

What happens to my iMessage if I add a Roaming eSIM?

iMessage typically continues to use your phone number if your primary line is ON. If you turn it OFF, iMessage may switch to your Apple ID email; you can re‑select your number in Send & Receive settings on your iPhone or iPad after re‑enabling the line.
