Follow these steps to add and activate your eSIM on an Android device. The exact wording in menus may vary by brand (Samsung, Pixel, etc.), but the flow is very similar.
Step 1: Find your eSIM details
Log in on our website.
Go to My eSIMs.
Click your purchased plan.
Tap Activation Instructions. This shows: - A QR code - Manual details (SM-DP+ address + activation code, with copy buttons) - An Activate button (may not work on all devices) - A Share button (to send QR or details to another device)
Step 2: Add the eSIM on your Android
On Google Pixel (and many others running stock Android):
Open Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs.
Tap + Add SIM or Download a SIM instead.
Choose Use QR code. Point the camera at the QR from your Activation Instructions. If scanning isn’t possible, tap Enter details manually and paste the SM-DP+ address and activation code.
On Samsung Galaxy (One UI):
Open Settings → Connections → SIM manager.
Tap Add eSIM.
Choose Scan QR code. If needed, tap Enter activation code to add details manually.
Step 3: Complete activation
Follow the prompts until the eSIM is added.
You should now see both your primary SIM and your new travel eSIM in SIM settings.
Step 4: Configure your data settings
Open Settings → Network & Internet (or Connections) → SIMs.
Under Preferred SIM for data, select your travel eSIM.
Enable Roaming for the travel eSIM.
Disable Roaming on your primary SIM to avoid charges.
(Optional) Turn off the primary SIM entirely if you don’t want calls/SMS.
Important notes
Plan duration: Your plan countdown (e.g., 7 days) starts once the eSIM is installed and activated on the local network.
Dual SIM use: You can keep your main SIM for calls/SMS while the eSIM handles data.
Naming SIMs: In SIM manager, rename your plans (e.g., Primary and Travel Data) so it’s easy to switch.
Troubleshooting
If data isn’t working: ensure Preferred SIM for data is the travel eSIM, Roaming is enabled for it, and restart your phone.
If you can’t add the eSIM: try re‑scanning the QR code or entering details manually. Confirm your device is unlocked and supports eSIMs.
Still stuck? Use Help → Get Help on the site and provide your Order ID, device model, and Android version.
An eSIM is a virtual SIM card that you can install on your phone without needing a physical SIM card.
Yes, most devices support multiple SIMs so you can keep your main SIM card and install a second or third while you are traveling.
No. Because you can keep your main SIM card active and install a second eSIM from Roaming while traveling, it will not impact your iMessage or Whatsapp.
Yes, if the eSIM data bundle has not been activated on your device we can offer a full refund within 30 days of purchase. Contact us for help using the ? button in the bottom right corner.
Yes. In addition to single‑country plans, we offer regional bundles (e.g., Europe, LATAM, Asia, North America). Browse the Catalog to see coverage, data amounts, and validity.
It depends on the device. Many newer phones can store several (often 5–10) eSIMs, but check your specific model.
Some phones only allow one active eSIM at a time (alongside a physical SIM). Many newer phones support two active eSIMs simultaneously so you can have one for your primary SIM and one for your travel eSIM. Active limits vary by device.
Deleting removes the plan from your device. Many eSIMs cannot be re-installed once deleted. If you have not activated it yet, contact support to see if a reissue is possible.
No. Your primary SIM stays available for calls/SMS/iMessage. Set your travel eSIM as the Cellular/Data line when abroad and keep Data Roaming OFF on your primary SIM to avoid charges.
iMessage typically continues to use your phone number if your primary line is ON. If you turn it OFF, iMessage may switch to your Apple ID email; you can re‑select your number in Send & Receive settings on your iPhone or iPad after re‑enabling the line.
WhatsApp remains linked to the number you registered with and keeps working over whichever data connection is available (including your Roaming eSIM).
Some plans can be installed only once. If you remove a used eSIM it may not be recoverable. If the eSIM has not been activated, contact support before deleting—reissue may be possible in some cases.
Tethering/hotspot works on most devices and networks, but it is subject to local carrier policies. If hotspot is critical for your trip, test it after installation.
Roaming eSIM plans are data‑only and do not include a local phone number. Use VoIP apps for calls/SMS, like WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger, or keep your primary SIM active for voice/SMS if needed.
An eSIM does not enable extra tracking beyond normal mobile networks. We do not track your location; usage is subject to standard carrier network operations and our privacy policy.
Yes, you can add more data anytime by purchasing a new Data Bundle on the My eSIMs page. The new Data Bundle will be queued and automatically used once your current one expires.
