How to set up Wi‑Fi Calling

Wi‑Fi Calling lets you make and receive calls over a Wi‑Fi connection instead of using mobile towers. It’s useful abroad if your carrier supports it.

On iPhone

  1. Go to Settings → Cellular → Wi‑Fi Calling.
  2. Toggle Wi‑Fi Calling on This iPhone → ON.
  3. Follow the on‑screen prompts to confirm.

On Android (varies by device)

  1. Open Settings → Network & Internet (or Connections on Samsung).
  2. Look for Wi‑Fi Calling.
  3. Toggle it ON.
  4. If asked, choose whether to prefer Wi‑Fi or Mobile Network for calls.

Notes

  • Not all carriers support Wi‑Fi Calling — check with your provider if the option doesn’t appear.
  • Wi‑Fi Calling may still use your home SIM, so charges can apply depending on your carrier’s rules.
